The variety has been under development from 1998 till  2008

Morphological and economic properties:

 

Awny, well tillering variety, winter hardy in all regions of Latvia. The vegetation period is two to four days longer than that of the variety ‘Fredis’, but, in comparison with the standard ‘Olivin’ - it is five to seven days earlier. The length of stalks 90-100 cm, lodging resistance is medium (5-7  points), the grain is coarse (53.9-58.0 g). The grain quality conforms to food standard.

Susceptibility to diseases:

Medium resistance to the most common diseases occurring in Latvia - mildew, brown leaf rust, leaf spots.

Use:

Feed and food processing.

Cultivation:

The variety is suitable for the cultivation either in conventional or biological conditions.
