The plants are short. The grain contains hull. |

Economic characteristics: |
Early. Comparatively resistant to lodging. Suitable for medium intensity farming. The crop during tests in Priekuļi: 4.2 – 5.8 t/ha (average 5.1 t/ha), 96 – 111% of standard variety ‘Ansis’. Maximum crop was harvested in Vecauce - 8.2 t/ha. |

Quality: |
1,000 grain weight and grain density, protein and starch content is similar to the standard variety ‘Ansis’. |

Susceptibility to diseases: |
Resistant to being infected with cereal mildew, comparatively low susceptibility to net blotch. Being infected with loose smut is possible. |

Use: |
The grain can be mainly used for animal feed. |
|
Cultivation: |
Suitable for integrated cultivation under conventional farming system. The seed must be treated with mordant. Recommended sowing rate: 350-400 germinating seeds per m2. Significant increase in crop, if N fertiliser dose is increased. Risk of lodging exists, if increased fertiliser doses are used. |
