Registered:

The variety has been registered in Latvian Protected Variety Catalogue since 2015. The variety has been under development from 1998  to 2008, the breeder’s rights have been protected since 2015.

Morphological and economic properties:

 

Vigorously tillering variety, medium winter hardiness. The vegetation period is four to six days longer than that of the variety ‘Fredis’, but, in comparison with the standard ‘Olivin’ - it is three to four days earlier. The length of stalks 100-105 cm, lodging resistance is medium (5-7  points), the grain is coarse (49-52 g)

Susceptibility to diseases:

Medium resistance to the most common diseases occurring in Latvia - mildew, brown leaf rust, leaf spots.

Use:

Feed and food processing.

Cultivation:

The variety is suitable for the cultivation either in conventional or biological conditions.
