Developed – at State Stende Selection Station in 2002, breeder’s rights have been protected in Latvia since 2009, in Estonia since 2011 and in Lithuania since 2013.

Description:

 

Intensive, winter hardy, awny, the average crop 5.8 - 7.2 t ha-1, early, two weeks earlier than ‘Kosack’, lodging resistance – on average 80 cm long.

Quality:

Grains are coarse
the content of gluten averages at 28 %, total protein approximately 14.8%
the quality conforms to Group II in accordance with IDK unit count (90-95)
falling number averages at 250 s

Susceptibility to diseases:

Medium resistance to diseases

Use:

For the obtaining of food grade grains.

Cultivation:

The seed must be treated with mordant, the optimum sowing rate is 500-550 germinating seeds per m2, the norm of the nitrogen fertiliser is 120 - 150 kg ha-1 N, the use of fungicides is recommended
