The variety has been registered in Latvian Plant Variety Catalogue since 2018. 

Morphological and economic properties:

 

Medium early variety, vegetation period is 1 - 2 days shorter in comparison with the variety “Skagen”. Long stem variety (90 - 100 cm) with long, medium dense ears. The top of ear has a small, awn-like formations. The plant is upright or partially upright, the leaf blade is covered with intensive wax coating. Winter hardy, vigorously regrows in spring, vigorously tillering variety, potential grain crop is 11 - 12 t ha-1.

Susceptibility to diseases:

Medium lodging and disease resistance.

Use:

The grain is coarse, can be used for food and feed.

Cultivation:

Suitable for cultivation under conventional farming system. Recommended soils include turf calcareous or turf podzol soils, loam and sandy loam soils that are rich in organic matter with slightly acid or neutral reaction (pH> 6.5 - 7.0). Recommended fertiliser doses: N150-170 P100 K120. In soils that are rich in nitrogen fertiliser, plant growth regulators must be used. Only seed that is treated with mordant must be used for sowing, sowing rate 450 germinating seeds per m-2. If sown in early September in well prepared soil that is rich in nutrients, the sowing rate may be reduced (380 - 400 germinating seeds per m-2). The susceptibility of the variety to wheat diseases is medium, fungicides must be used to control diseases.
