Morphological description:

Plant heigh - up to 150 cm, panicles – up to 25 cm, the stem with vigorous branching

Economic characteristics:

The crop of green mass in flowering phase (end of the first third of June) 46-54 t ha^-1
grain crop 3.5-4.5 t ha^-1, late variety - flowering 7-10 days later than the variety ‘Laima’

Quality:

Green mass quality:
protein content in green mass at the end of the
flowering phase – 9-11% in the dry matter
the dry matter at the end of the flowering phase – 17-24%
Grain quality:
the grain is white, 1,000 grain weigh approximately 35 g
the density is high  - 490-530 g l^-1
protein content in grain 10-12%
low hull content -  24-25%

Cultivation:

For the production of green mass - recommended sowing rate 500-550 germinating seeds per 1m². The normal dose of nitrogen fertiliser 80 - 110 kg ha^-1 of pure N, considering the fertility of the soil.
For the production of grain - sowing rate 500 germinating seeds per 1m² and the total amount of nitrogen fertiliser not more than 100 kg ha^-1.
